As the Creative Director for the HGTV Branded Entertainment team, I inherited a number of legacy clients on the network, including The Home Depot. In my first year with the network we created a custom spot for Home Depot. Our production occurred in the later stages of the pandemic, but we delivered with fun creative and nimble problem solving that deftly negotiated supply chain issues to highlight their spring product lines. The impactful results of this first spot led Home Depot to double their creative buy the following year. The subsequent two spots were also a big hit for the client, and upon my departure from HGTV, we were beginning production on four spots for them to run in the upcoming year. So, having started with a single spot for a major network client, in three years I quadrupled our business.
